In the song «Where is my man?» Eartha Kitt sings that she needs a man to pay her everything, to invite her to a holidays in the Hamptons, Capri, Malibu … anyway, what she wants is a «sugar dady» to have what she wants and to pay her all the other person. While in the song «You don’t owe me» by Lesly Gore the lyrics of the song say that she doesn’t want any «sugar dady» who doesn’t need anyone to support her and therefore no one has to continue exhibiting her as if she were an object.
From my point of view we should think like Lesly Gore and not allow anyone to show us as an object, since we can sustain ourselves without needing a man who has to buy everything from us.

I think that this song is very suggestive, the singer expresses her needs about a man. She says that she wants a rich man who gives her “things that aren’t free”. At the end of the song the lyrics say that she has tried with other men but they always bring her a brass ring and she wants a gold one.

In my opinion, what the singer wants to convey to the public is her need to find love in a man who knows how to take care of her well. I agree with her that the vast majority do not play this role well.
