[BCH] Summer Reading Plan #1

  1. Comment on ASTERIX THE GAUL: All Gaul has been conquered by Julius Caesar except Armorica. The Gauls of Armorica have superhuman strength that makes it impossible to conquer all of their territory. The Romans who want to finish conquering all of Gaul send a soldier as a spy to the village of Armorica, to find out the secret of the superhuman strength of the Gauls. The Gauls discover that the Roman soldier is not one of their own, the soldier is expelled and returns to his camp. The soldier makes the potion that he had seen how the Gauls made it. When testing the potion they realized that it was not to have superhuman strength but to grow beards and hair without stopping. The Gauls set a trap for them by changing the potions to the Romans and thus they never discovered the secret of the superhuman strength of the Gauls. They could never conquer them.

  2. Asterix and Obelix comics, besides being old, contain a very entertaining plot and characters that fit very well with the story.

Asterix, Obelix and their community have shown greater intelligence than the Romans from the beginning of the story, due to the number of Roman attackers and the number of Gaulish counterattackers, although the latter had their potion. The potion that the old man cooked is what gave the strength to the whole community of Gauls to win over the Romans, and the Romans wanted to know how to cook that potion, but the method they used to find out did not work, and using another potion and the cunning of the Gauls, they managed to win over the Romans.

The Gauls end up celebrating their revenge with great joy, but they have not yet won the battle.
